A passenger bus and a vehicle collided head-on on the Lanlate highway in the Ibarapa region of Nigeria’s Oyo state. After the vehicles caught fire with the effect of the accident, many first aid teams were sent to the region.
Ibarapa Regional President Gbenga Obalowoin a statement after the accident, said that the vehicles collided head-on and that 20 people were burned to death.
Police said the accident occurred because the bus driver was speeding and an investigation was launched into the incident.
In the state of Kaduna in northwest Nigeria, 30 people were killed when three vehicles collided on a highway last July.
