Uzun, who reacted to the decision given to Kaftancıoğlu, “Mr. Kaftancıoğlu, Halide Edip gave a speech of freedom on May 23, 1919 in Istanbul Sultanahmet Square, which was under British occupation. Even the invaders didn’t punish him like you did. I congratulate Turkish women in your person” he said.
