A fire broke out at around 04:00 yesterday in the warehouse where the customs goods are located in the Narduzu District. Those who saw the smoke reported the situation to the fire department. The firefighters, who came to the region with the notice, started working to extinguish the flames that completely surrounded the warehouse.
The rising smoke could be seen from miles away. The warehouse, where the customs goods consisting of timber, cotton and plastic materials, were intervened by helicopter from the air and fire trucks and breakers from the land.
After 30 hours of work, the teams took the flames under control around 10:00 today. Cooling work continues.
