At the EP General Assembly session held in Brussels, the proposal prepared to support Ukraine economically was discussed.
MEPs approved the regulation 515 ‘to help Ukrainian producers and exporters.Yeah‘, 32 ‘no‘ and 11 ‘abstained‘ he voted.
Accordingly, import duties on all export products made by Ukraine to the European Union (EU) will be suspended for 1 year.
Taxes on industrial products, fruits and vegetables, anti-dumping duties on steel imports and protection measures will also be lifted for one year.
The said regulation will enter into force after its publication in the EU Official Journal.
