THE LAST AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT WAS IN 2010
China is known as a safe country in terms of aviation, where plane crashes are rare.
Civil Aviation Administration official Cu Tao said on February 19 that Chinese airlines had achieved more than 100 million hours of safe flight without incident.
The last time in the country in 2010, the passenger plane “8387” belonging to Hinan Airlines crashed while landing at Yichun Lindu Airport in foggy weather during its flight between the cities of Harbin and Yicun in the northeastern Heylongciang province, and 44 of the 96 people on the plane died in the accident.
