Saying that the Turkish defense industry is in a faster growth trend than many other sectors, SAHA Istanbul Chairman of the Board and Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar said, “Our industry achieved 3.2 billion dollars of exports last year. We can easily say that we will reach 4 billion dollars by 2022.
Our defense industry does not stop, it moves forward like an icebreaker.” Chairman of the Board of Directors Erdal Bahçıvan said that the Turkish defense industry is one of the most important sectors in Turkey.
CONTRIBUTION TO TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION
Within the scope of the meeting, a panel titled “The Impact of the National Technology Move on Turkey’s Technological Transformation” was also held. The panel was attended by President of the Presidency Digital Transformation Office, Dr. Ali Taha Koç, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology M. Fatih Kacır, President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, STM Thinktech Coordinator Retired Lieutenant General Alpaslan Erdoğan and Altınay Group Chairman of the Board Hakan Altınay attended.
