CHP Niğde Deputy Gürer submitted a parliamentary question asking the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer to answer.

Evaluating the answers of Minister Özer, Gürer stated that the ministry avoided giving information based on figures and said:

Is it possible that at least those who studied abroad or worked as teachers are not known? Are there any overseas schools affiliated to MEB? These questions are important in terms of education in order to see and know the situation abroad of our country. If there are countries with the highest number of Turkish citizens studying abroad, the number of students studying abroad should also be known.
