Stating that they were in constant contact with the deceased police officer Yıldız, and that he knew that he would explain the negligence of Yazıcıoğlu’s death at the hearing, Yanar demanded that the death be clarified.

“HE WAS ONE OF THE NAMES CLOSE TO EROL YILDIZ YAZICIOĞLU”

The lawsuit against Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, who died in 2009 after the helicopter crash in Kahramanmaraş, and the five people accompanying him, continues. According to MYP Secretary General Haşim Yanar, who stated that he thought the police officer Erol Yıldız, who will testify at the hearing, died “suspiciously”, “such a death is not possible”.

Saying that police officer Yıldız was one of the closest people to Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, Yanar said, “Erol Yıldız was more knowledgeable than anyone else about what happened and what was going on. At a time like this, it made sense that he died before he went to trial. Why would such a man push his car uphill? “The mise-en-scene does not make sense at all. We want this death to be clarified,” he said.

“OTHER TWO POLICES SHOULD BE PROTECTED”

Saying that the other two police officers who will testify until the next hearing should be taken under protection, Yanar stated that they were in constant contact with the police officer Yıldız before his death, and said:

“Erol, Muhsin President, was one of the friends who had a definite opinion that the search and rescue efforts were interrupted and that there was negligence, and expressed this clearly. We were in constant contact with Mr. Erol. We expected him to testify in this direction. He was going to tell about the omissions at the trial. I don’t know how the other two cops will testify, but they need to be put under protection until the trial.”

INVESTIGATION STARTED

Meanwhile, Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that an investigation has been launched into the death of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu’s bodyguard, Erol Yıldız.

In this context, an eyewitness named NK, whose information was consulted, stated that he went to the window when he was at home when he heard the sound from outside, and said, “When I looked outside, I saw a pair of feet under the vehicle. I immediately informed the 112 medical teams.”

In addition, upon the order of the Attorney General’s Office, an expert examination will be made on the vehicle that caused Yıldız’s death.
