Algerian President Abdulmecid Tebboune arrived in Ankara. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Tebbun with an official ceremony at the Presidential Complex. At the meetings to be held on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Algeria, agreements will be signed that will increase the trade volume between the two countries to over 5 billion dollars.
The first meeting of the Turkey-Algeria High Level Cooperation Council will also be held during the tete-a-tete and interdelegation meetings of the two leaders. At the Council Meeting, Turkey-Algeria relations, which are based on deep-rooted ties, will be reviewed in all aspects, and steps that can be taken to improve bilateral cooperation will be discussed.
Will Exceed 20 Billion Dollars
During the meetings, views will be exchanged on bilateral relations, diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia war, and regional and international issues. Steps to be taken to develop cooperation in fields such as energy, bilateral trade, defense, agriculture, tourism, food, petrochemistry and contracting will be evaluated. During the meetings, the projects carried out by Turkish companies amounting to 20 billion dollars and the steps to increase mutual investments will be discussed. During the visit, which will take place on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, agreements, protocols and memorandums of understanding will be signed to strengthen the existing cooperation.
