Metin-Kemal Kahraman The brothers issued a statement and announced that the Muş concerts were canceled the day before.

The Muş concert of the Metin-Kemal Kahraman brothers, which was planned to be held tomorrow, was banned by the Governor’s Office. Metin and Kemal Kahraman announced the cancellation news by publishing a statement.

“WE INVITE OUR PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS TO ATTEND”

The following statements were used in the statement:

  • As it is known, our Muş concert was going to be the first leg of a small tour, whose application was made weeks ago and preparations were started. Despite this, the ban decision was given verbally, by phone, one day before the concert and half an hour before the end of the working day.
  • By doing this, it is aimed that the ban will not only be a ban for the musicians and organizers, and of course, for our listeners who bought tickets, but also to turn it into a material and moral burden. Months ago, musicians reserved their days for this concert; The concert hall was held without any support from any institution, and a fee was paid for it; plane tickets were purchased for musicians, rooms were booked in the hotel; posters were printed, paid announcements were made on social media; and dozens of people have worked for days for all these works… All of these must be lived as a burden so that the prohibition may relieve the burden of hatred that they see as their own.
  • We invite our professional organizations, especially MÜYORBİR and MESAM, to take a stand on this issue. We will make a broader statement tomorrow, when we receive written notification of the decision.
