The new management of KIZILAY has been determined: DR. Kerem Kınık will serve as the President of KIZILAY for 3 more years
The 103rd General Assembly of the Red Crescent, which was held in Ankara with the participation of Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, AK Party Deputy Chairman, deputies, bureaucrats and many non-governmental organizations, was completed.
In the message he sent to the congress, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “There is not a single natural disaster in our region or in our country that does not have the Red Crescent. Red Crescent of the Red Crescent, which is refreshing to the hearts, does not fluctuate… Most of the time, you are the first to hear the cry for help to the needy before the official institutions, and you are the first to run for help.” He wished success to the new management.
In his speech, Vice President Fuat Oktay, who attended the congress, said, “The fact that we have brand organizations such as the Red Crescent with high organizational capabilities and equipment is the result of our being a strong and assertive state.” Recalling his period as Afad President, Oktay said, “I saw Red Crescent fighters in every disaster I went to as Afad President.”
“We exist to be the voice of the global conscience”
Red Crescent President Dr. Kerem Kınık, in his speech, said, “We exist to be the voice of the global conscience. Today, humanitarian crises in Sub-Saharan Africa, Lake Chad basin, Ethiopian Tigre region, in many geographies of the world, Bangladesh, Somalia and in many different geographies, unfortunately. “It does not receive the attention it deserves. We have to awaken the global conscience, strengthen global solidarity, awaken and mobilize humanity in a way that is aware of humanity,” he said.
In the election held after the speeches, Dr. While Kerem Kınık was re-elected as the Chairman by taking the votes of all the delegates participating in the voting, the new board of directors and supervisory board members of the Red Crescent were also determined. After the voting, Kerem Kınık thanked the delegates and underlined that they would take Kızılay further.
