A new statement came from Russia regarding the possible NATO membership of Finland and Sweden.
“If NATO deploys nuclear power and infrastructure close to the Russian border, Moscow will take the necessary measures,” said the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister.
Saying that Russia is not hostile towards Sweden and Finland, the deputy minister also stated that they do not see any real reason for the two countries to join the NATO alliance.
Governments in Finland and Sweden are expected to make a final decision on NATO membership tomorrow.
