According to a statement from the Kremlin Palace, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Putin visited Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the so-called Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Donetsk People’s Republic, He sent congratulatory messages to the leaders and citizens of the Luhansk People’s Republic.
Putin also congratulated the citizens of Ukraine and Georgia.
Expressing his gratitude and respect to the soldiers and those working behind the lines who destroyed Nazism at the expense of countless sacrifices and hardships at the celebration, Putin said, “The common task today is to prevent the revival of Nazism, which has brought so much suffering to people from different countries. It is necessary to transmit and preserve the truth about the events of the war years, the common moral values, the traditions of brotherhood and friendship to future generations,” he said.
In his message to the people of Ukraine and to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Putin emphasized that the revenge of the ideological heirs of the defeated in the Great Patriotic War is unacceptable.
