According to a written statement from the Prime Ministry’s office, Bennett spoke at the beginning of the weekly government meeting regarding the statements of Mansur Abbas, the leader of the United Arab List (Ra’am) in the Israeli Assembly.
Bennet, Mansur Abbas said yesterday, “The solution to the Masjid al-Aqsa issue depends on the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and that the party’s Israeli practices in Aqsa will be determined by the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, who has the tutelage of the Islamic places in Jerusalem and over Aqsa. He replied to the statements that he wanted.
Prime Minister Bennett stated that all decisions regarding Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa will be taken by Israel, which is the ruler of the city, regardless of external factors.
Bennett claimed that Israel will continue to treat all religions with respect, and that Jerusalem is the only capital of the unified state of Israel.
CIVIL GUARDS CREATED
On the other hand, Bennett reported that “civil guards” were formed to be deployed in cities against the actions of Palestinians.
Bennett added that the team that will be formed and trained from volunteers and reservists will be defined as the “National Civil Guard”.
The Tel Aviv administration had decided to stop the raids of Jewish settlers on Masjid al-Aqsa, which led to violence between Israeli forces and Palestinians during Ramadan, on 22 April-1 May. After the Ramadan Feast ended, the raids under the auspices of the Israeli forces resumed.
